The American Dream and Eugene O'Neill
by
Ruzbeh Babaee
The present study is about Eugene O'Neill's great achievements, The Iceman Cometh and Long Lay's Journey into Night. This study traces the features of "The American Dream" in these two particular plays. Here "The American Dream" is considered as a myth. It is the myth of success that for many centuries the people of America have been looking for it. They have been looking for happiness, freedom, fame, money, equality, and new values in "The American Dream". O'Neill in his plays has thought a great deal about man in relation to his social environment and has criticized the whole structure of American society. O'Neill did not accept the illusions and the ideals that were created by "The American Dream". He criticized the social values. His attitude towards his country and its values was critical and in a number of plays he has focused on the failure and collapse of these values.

Lance Rants on the Justice Department's Slowness to Protect the American People
by
Lance Winslow
Some say we have Truth, Justice and the American way in the USA, and it sounds all well and good but is it the truth that we have justice in America and is the "way" becoming more of a political correctness bathed in over lawyering and wishful thinking courts?

What is the American Dream?
by
Steven Gillman
Is it two kids, a new car, a good job, and a big new house with a pet dog to greet you at the door? Hmm... At least there was a deeper conception of it when it was invented.

The American Dream Speech
by
John Ferraro
The American Dream is inspired by the glory of a dream. A dream that says welcome to our vast home. A home whose foundation has survived the quake of war, the brutal attacks of terror and the constant threat from those who wish to defy our constitution. We rejoice in knowing the American Dream has not weakened but rather strengthened in adversity, grown stronger through conflict and rests in the arms of the greatest military in the world. Our freedom is their promise. Our lives are fortified by the men and women who bravely sacrifice theirs. God Bless this great nation!

Secret Life of the American Teenager
by
Michael Fedrick
Numerous televised serials look at the personal life of the American teenager and the disputes in that. Teens have constantly been considered as being on a different level from elders. They are of an age when they feel that they not belong to either the children or adults group, and often seemed to have rules of their own.

The American Dream Exposed: Why Most Dream While Few Achieve
by
Joel Cowen
It is my personal opinion that this country was built on the dreams and desires our founding fathers had for something more. They were tired of living in a corrupt society where they weren't truly free. How scary must it have been to pack up everything you had, hop on a boat heading for a brand new country (and hoping you actually got there.) This country was built from the imagination of entrepreneurs.

Stop Lying to the American People
by
Lance Winslow
In this day and age of mistrust to the government, we seem to see no end in sight of embellishment, misrepresentation, and abuse of power. Everywhere we look and in all the media...

The American President (Movie Review)
by
Britt Gillette
Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Music, The American President should have been considered for other Oscars as well (maybe even Best Picture, although I realize it's not the great drama of the century)...
