Footballer Profile - Jamie Carragher
by
Steve Yates
A one club stalwart who always plays with absolute commitment, Jamie Carragher is one of the Premier League's most dependable defenders. One of the very first names on the team sheet for over a decade, Carragher is the epitome of what supporters love to see on the pitch - a local lad who knows just how much the club means to the people who pay to watch games.

Liverpool FC Player Profile - Jamie Carragher
by
Steve Goodwin
Jamie Carragher has been a Liverpool player for fifteen years and has made nearly 700 appearances for the club. After joining the club as an apprentice he signed professionally in 1996 and has only ever played for the one club, a rarity in the modern game. Carragher has been a fundamental part of the club's success during his time as a player, his enthusiasm and commitment to the team has earned him the nick name Mr Liverpool.

Jamie Carragher's Autobiography
by
David J P Smith
One of the best premier league biographies I've ever read is Jamie Carragher's. The thing I love about Carragher's book is that he's totally honest - even in areas where you would expect him to hold back on (such as his thoughts on manager Rafael Benitez or his wife).

Liverpool Loses Jamie Carragher To Dislocated Shoulder
by
Tom Doerr
To add injury to insult, Liverpool look likely to lose yet another player for a lengthy spell to a dislocated shoulder suffered in a humiliating defeat by Tottenham Hotspurs. The defender took on ex-team mate Peter Crouch in the dying minutes of the game which left him grounded. The team had scored a well deserved 42nd minute lead but soon gifted their opponents an own goal equaliser in the second half after Defoe missed a penalty.

The Best Reserve 11 of FIFA World Cup 2006 Germany
by
Anand Mann
The Golden Ball winner of last edition has to sit ignominiously on bench due to Lehmann choice as number 1 goalkeeper by coach Klinsmann. The performance against Portugal did prove that he is the most talented under bars to sit on bench.

Champions League Semi Final Liverpool, 1 Chelsea, 1
by

There is a saying that goes something like this "he has a face that only a mother could love" and this tie between these 2 teams would only be a game that only Liverpool and Chelsea fans would love. In the 1st half there were very few chances and not a lot of good football from 2 sides that are very negative in their make up. Chelsea in truth were slightly the better side in the 1st half with Didier Drogba, Michael Ballack and Frank Lampard being impressive.

World Footballer Of The Year Farce
by
Dennis Neri
How many people take FIFA and UEFA seriously when it comes to nominations or most of their rules for that matter? It is still a wonder to me that every time I tune to paramount comedy, I do not see Sepp Baltter and his cohorts on that particular channel as their brand of wit would surely be classified as sarcasm.

Manchester United 3 Liverpool 0
by

United staked their claim for successive championships with a comfortable win over their rivals and effectively putting out Liverpool from the championship race. They went in front through an unlikely source when Wes Brown rose up high to head home a good cross from Wayne Rooney in the 1st half. The game was then turned on its head when Javier Mascherano got himself sent off for what the referee deemed to be showing dissent.

Champions League Quarterfinals Liverpool 4 Arsenal 2
by
Dennis Neri
It was a magnificent game of football from start to end but the pace and power of Liverpool prevailed in the end. Arsenal were irresistible in the beginning and they rightly took the lead through Abou Diaby following some wonderful play involving Alex Hleb, Mathieu Flamini, Cesc Fabregas, Emmanuel Adebayor and Emmanuel Eboue as when Diaby finally got a pass from Hleb and hit a shot that beat Beppe Reina on his near side.
