Is Mike Blair the Right Man For the British Lions Squad?
by
Nick J Jones
Tomas O'leary went from British Lions ecstasy to pure rugby heartbreak in the space of 72 hours. He was a shock inclusion in the British Lions squad to tour South Africa this summer, but then injured his leg playing for Munster against the Scarlets, cruelly ruling him out of the tour. In his place Mike Blair has been called up - and a very worthy player he is too.

Springboks V British and Irish Lions - Test Series Preview
by
Sanjay Deva
The Springboks take on the British and Irish Lions in an eagerly anticipated 3 test series starting in Durban this Saturday 20th June. Since 1997, the Boks have been waiting for their chance to exact revenge on the Lions for a humiliating 2-1 series loss. This time around, I think things are quite different.

Will the British Lions Just Be 'Team Wales'?
by
Nick J Jones
The British Lions head coach is Ian McGeechan, a Scot who was, until a matter of days ago, in charge of London Wasps. But below him the Welsh rugby coaches Warren Gatland, Sean Edwards, Rob Howley and Craig White are all touring with the Lions.

Detroit Lions Looking to the Future - Not the Past
by
Matt Joal
The Detroit Lions football team is already looking forward and preparing to make amends in the fall of 2009. Fans stood behind their team last year and held firm through one of the worst seasons on record. The attitude of the Detroit team has always been one of strength against all adversity, and some new restructuring of the squad is set to make the players more cohesive than ever before.

Detroit Lions and the Record Nobody Wanted
by
Freddie Brister
There have been a lot of great seasons in the National Football League (NFL) - seasons in which teams and players have accomplished the seemingly unthinkable and established records that would have once been considered unlikely. The 2008 season turned out to be that type of season as one team set a record that stunned the football world. The team was the Detroit Lions, and the record was one that all of the other teams in the League sincerely hope they never match.

Springboks Let Themselves Down Against the British and Irish Lions
by
Sanjay Deva
The Springbok lost the 3rd Test at Ellis Park 28-9. Whilst they won the series 2-1, the 3rd test result was extremely disappointing, and one of the worst displays since the 49-0 loss to Australia in 2006.

There's nowhere to go but up for the hapless Detroit Lions. They seem certain to become the first 0-16 team in NFL history. Here's how to turn them around.
