Morse Code Helps Man Live With Physical Disability

In 1979, eleven year old Steve Harper, unable to speak due to the physical disability, cerebral palsy, had never heard of Morse code and was struggling to communicate with a head stick, symbol board and typewriter. Using these methods made communication arduous since someone had to be right there with Steve when he tried to get his messages understood. He slowly signaled by pointing to various symbols and letters.

City have banked 11 points from six matches and are currently on a roll with two successive victories, against Wigan and Chelsea. They also played out a 1-1 draw against Juventus, in the Europa League, on Friday, although they were lucky not to concede one more goal to Juventus when Alex Del Piero's shot hit the underside of the cross bar and bounced on the line.. The Magpies are no roll-overs, with a 6-0 Premier League victory over Aston Villa, and a 4-3 win over Chelsea in the Carling Cup to boot. Yet, City will look forward to the prospect of banking full points from this match, and joining the fight at the top, especially with either of Chelsea or Arsenal set to drop points on the day.
