Veterans Day often feels like a heavy holiday, thick with the air of loss and sadness felt for those who have given their lives to protect and serve the country. However, there are plenty of surviving veterans to salute, and the day should be one of pride and joy regarding the fact that there have been so many willing to put their lives on the line for the well being of the population.
