When a retreat vacation is turned upside down, can it be saved? The author initially resisted, then came to embrace the events unfolding around her. It was a lesson in stepping back to take a look at things from an entirely different perspective. She was able to move from control and prejudice through to wonder. She came to have an entirely unique experience, one she could never have planned for.
