The 2012 Election in Regards to the Federal Workforce
by
Jeremy B Thompson
As we face the presidential elections, in 2012, federal employees are wondering what to expect in regards to the workforce. The question cannot be answered at present because it certainly depends on who is elected as our new leader. If President Obama is re-elected he is hoping to give a small raise to federal workers after he imposed a two year pay freeze in 2010. The pay increase would be quite minimal at 0.5 per cent. However, military personnel would see a pay increase of 1.7 per cent in 2013.
